The Pakistan expedition ends04 September 2017
Tom Ballard and Daniele Nardi had to give up the ascent of the North Wall of Link Sar.
Also in Karakorum the weather was not clement and forced Tom Ballard and Daniele Nardi, who came to C3 at 6800 meters, to give up the climb of the Link Sar, peak of 7041 meters complex and sought after by many climbers.
Tom and Daniele were stuck in Camp 3 for bad weather for three days, after which they decided to give up. Along with them, the expedition led by Steve Swenson had to surrender to the goal of climbing the east wall.
The Link Sar remained unclimbed for years, has been climbed in 2015 by its west wall by British climbers Jon Griffith and Andy Houseman who climbed the West Peak but did not reach the main peak.
