Italians De Leo and Sanguineti on the right of the classic Spur
16 September 2009
Italians Sergio de Leo and Marcello Sanguinetti have climbed a new route, probably partially new, along the right flank of the Brenva Spur.
The Brenva Spur was first climbed in 1865 by the British G.S.Mathews, A.W. Moore, F. and H. Walker with the guides J. and M. Anderegg.
On june, part of this route was descented on ski by Pierre Tardivel and Sébastien De Sainte Marie.
The line established by the italians - graded D+ - has been called Le réveil de l'ours.
