1st (likely) repeat for Felsige Gaerten

By Luca Godenzi and Pietro Biasini

12 February 2012 The swiss/italian team of Luca Godenzi e Pietro Biasini has done  the likely first repeat of Felsige Gärten,  the new mixed line established by Christian “Picco” Piccolruaz and Albert Leichtfried,  a mixed variant of Haengende Gärten,  the classical hard icefall in Sellraintal (Tyrol, Austria) opened in  1988 by Andreas Orgler and  Otti Wiedmann. (Here the new of the 1st ascent). Here the report of Luca Godenzi: "After a first pitch of WI3-4, follows the M8 pitch, bolted with spit, short and boulder-style. Then then WI7- pitch, protected by two spit on ice complex and fragile (-14 at the parking lot). On the M8 pitch the bolt of the spit is lacking, so for a repeat bring a monkey wrench and a m10.
