'Tambo, churros y amigos', the repetition of Iker Madoz, Marc Toralles and Roger Cararach
The three mountaineers have repeated the route to Jirishanca in Peru
13 August 2017Iker Madoz, Marc Toralles and Roger Cararach repeated 'Tambo, churros y amigos' (1,000 m, 7a, A2, M4, 95º) on the south east wall of Jirishanca, Peru.
This summer is a top time for expeditions in Peru: we are looking forward to developments from the italian mountaineers Matteo Della Bordella, Matteo Bernasconi and Tito Arosio. Then last month Oriol Baro and Marc Toralles repeated Alpine style the Huantsán's North-East corner, and now is the time Iker Madoz, Marc Toralles and Roger Cararach.
The three made the first repetition (which it's known) of the French Open Didier Jourdain and Aymeric Clouet in 2003 on the southeastern wall of the Huayhuash cordillera.
They took 3 days to climb the 'Tambo, churros y amigos' (1,000 m, 7a, A2, M4, 95º), which mainly develops on rock with a final snow edge. Exits at 6,126 m.
