The swiss long term team of Bernd Rathmayr and Reto Ruhstaller completed during the summer 2010 a ground-up first ascent of Transocean on the Pfaffenhuet, Wendenstöcke, Switzerland.
The first pitch was a heritage from the late Kaspar Ochsner (disappeared in 2007 on a solo, winter climbing trip in the Engelhorner) considered the father of the area. Out of this pitch grew the hardest route on Pfaffenhuet.
The route ( 7b+ 7a+ obbl. 7 pitches) is winding up through the central limestone ocean of Pfaffenhuet and is offering technically demanding climbing.
Transocean is situated between the all time classic "Voie du frère" and "Patent Ochsner".
Bernd Rathmayr and Reto Ruhstaller have carried out together the FA's of Deep Blue Sea - Eiger (250m 9 pitches 7b+) and Tsunami (300m 7b+ 7a obbl 13 pitches) in Wendenstöcke.
