Urban Novak, Marko Prezelj and Ales Cesen opening on Arjuna

The Slovenian team solves the West wall with "Vse ali nič"

22 July 2017
Urban Novak, Marko Prezelj and Ales Cesen have solved the west wall of Arjuna (6.250 m, Indian Himalaya) by opening "Vse ali nič" (All or Nothing), 1400 meters of ED + difficulty development.

Slovenian mountaineers have opened this new line in 3 days, from 16 to 18 June, in Alpine style. The first part of the route was founded in good condition and they quickly climbed on mostly mixed ground.

The most complicated part of the climb came then, where they took 8 hours to solve 3 ice lengths, followed by an overnight snow-climbing. Upon reaching the summit, the three riders climbed up the summit.

In short, Slovenian mountaineers continue to open incredible lines, with a perfect style. It will also be a climb from Piolets d'Or? We recall that Marko Prezelj, Ales Cesen and Luka Lindic deserve one for the rise of the north wall of the Hagshu in 2014, while Marko Prezelj and Urban Novak with Manu Pellissier and Hayden Kennedy In 2015 they deserved another pie, for "Light before wisdom" on the east wall of Cerro Kishtwar.
