Cervino Cinemountain 2017
20th edition of the Festival at the foot of the Matterhorn05 August 2017
The Cervino CineMountain, Europe's highest mountain film festival, takes place from August 5 to 15 at the foot of the Matterhorn.
Its geographical location (Cervinia, 2000 meters, and Valtournenche in Valle d’Aosta, IT) is worth the title of the highest film festival in the world. Since the first edition in 1998, the real protagonists of Cervino CineMountain are mountains themselves. But mountains are also the "pretext" to tackle issues closely related to it: the environment, climate, adventure, sport, culture and history. Among the various awards of the Festival, the Italian Alpine Club (CAI) awards the best mountaineering film.
The main event of the Festival is the Competition Festival, proposing the best of mountain filmography.
There will be also some collateral events and meetings with special guests, including Hervé Barmasse and Alain Robert.
