[VIDEO] Caro North discovering the wonders of Argentine Minialaska

A granite paradise with no routes

12 January 2019

This beautiful video released a few months ago, shows the incredible beauties equal to the potential of an unknown area of Argentina called Minialaska where Caro North, together with Jose Bonacalza, Matias Korten, Julian Ferhman and Jony Jorzuk, opened, between November 2017 and April 2018, over 50 routes in a valley where virtually nothing had yet been climbed.
"I could not believe it, in Europe it is impossible to find such valleys where there is practically only virgin rock. There was only one street in 1993 on a pinnacle, the rest was all to be bolted! "
Another peculiarity of this place is the presence of granite pinnacles with a bright color, marked by cracks or compact walls, where it is possible to scale both in trad and with bolts. A paradise that still offers a lot and served a couple of hours walk from the Frey Refuge.
Of course, if you want to get away from the usual places, there are wonders where you can get your hands ...
