PATAGONIA: Worn Wear Tour comes back
Why waste it if you can reuse it?18 March 2019
After reaching the main European ski resorts during this winter the Worn Wear Patagonia van will reach Italy.
Worn Wear Tour: give your technical equipment a second life!
Starting on 24 January from Innsbruck, Austria, the Patagonia Worn Wear Tour made a stop at the most important snowy destinations in Europe, repairing zips, buttons, tears and even technical clothing in GORE-TEX.
Conceived in 2013, the Worn Wear campaign was created to encourage people to take care of their clothes, adjusting them if necessary, to make them last as long as possible.
Repairing your equipment and using it for many seasons reduces the overall environmental impact, which is good for your wallet and even more for the planet. Bring your most beloved (and worn out) garment and Patagonia will repair it for free, regardless of its brand.
The Worn Wear project aims to educate people on how to take care of and adjust clothing to the fullest, to ensure that your snow equipment can last longer over time. Repairing their clothes instead of buying new ones every season is one of the most important actions we can take to protect and protect our planet and to reduce the CO2 emissions, waste and water needed to make a new garment clothing. It is possible to reduce the consumption of carbon, waste and water by 20-30% simply by using a garment for even nine months longer. Repair is a radical act!
