SAVE THE BLUE HEART OF EUROPE - The Balkan Rivers Tour

Patagonia host a meeting with Olympic canoeist Rok Rozman in his store in Milan, Garibaldi 127, who has decided to undertake a long and sustained struggle for the protection of the rivers of Europe.

Rok Rozman will tell who will take part in the meeting on Monday, June 5th, at 7 pm, his hawks on the rivers of the Balkans, threatened by the construction of thousands of dams, and the enormous environmental damage that would result from them.

Through the Leeway Collective association Rozman is seeking to raise public awareness of the great theme of environmental protection, bringing to the attention of all how the protection of the aquatic ecosystem is fundamental to the territory of the Balkans and of course, about the complete ecosystem. The ambassador of this initiative will therefore try to show how much free water flow is crucial to achieving this goal and how the construction of numerous dams can in fact harm the biological balance of the ecosystem.

Patagonia, as we have already described in our previous news, is attentive and sensitive to these issues, so much so that it has included the Leeway Collective initiative in its Tools for Grassroots Activists publication. Now the California company offers the opportunity to meet Rozman personally and to know through his tales the struggles and initiatives for the preservation of the environment.

The Val Mastallone Defense Committee, which is fighting for the defense of the valley of the same valley, will also attend the meeting.
