FERRINO: over 150 years of outdoor

The Turin-based company presented its Digital Corporate Archive

2020 is the year of Ferrino's 150th anniversary, a long history that joins the evolution of the outdoors in Italy, its successes and its international achievements.

With this awareness, Ferrino decided to create a Digital Archive, a tool capable of cataloging and sharing all the memories, anecdotes and testimonies of the brand. A strategic asset for the company, able to make its history accessible, digital, catalogable and easily usable.

«Ferrino has often had the courage to explore new ways in advance – explains Anna Ferrino, CEO of Ferrino & C. Spa – and this new digital archive is a further demonstration of our desire to look to the future. Making order has allowed us to bring to light and relive memories, precious and relevant documents and to make them easily traceable and searchable. Statutes, trademark registrations, patents, postcards, mailing letters and everything related to products: from the first sketches, to color studies, up to the related communication campaigns».

Useful documents for all the brand's corporate departments: designers will be able to find inspiration in the milestones of each collection and develop new products, communication will have an inexhaustible mine of stories that reflect not only the history of Ferrino, but also the costumes of an entire society and its relationship with the outdoors and exploration over a century and a half of history.

For the realization of its Digital Historical Archive, Ferrino has started a collaboration with Promemoria, a company specialized in recovering, systematizing, protecting and enhancing the historical heritage of large international companies and brands, cultural institutions and private collections.
