OBERALP: VIRTUAL CONVENTION
The Oberalp Group will present its brand new products in a virtual way for the summer of 202111 May 2020

The Oberalp Group explores new forms of communication for its SALEWA, DYNAFIT, WILD COUNTRY, EVOLV and POMOCA brands. The South Tyrolean company faces the limitations imposed by the current global situation by announcing the first digital Oberalp Convention accessible to both professionals and end consumers. The Oberalp Virtual Convention is a new format whose ambitions go beyond talks and presentations: with simultaneous translation, the virtual tour of the 360° showrooms and live chats, the family-run company launches a strong signal of resilience and reliability despite the difficult times due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The live event will begin on May 20, 2020 at 17.00 CET.
The Virtual Convention of 20 May 2020 will begin with an hour-long live opening where the managers of the individual brands will speak, with simultaneous translation for the international audience to whom the event is addressed. The four brands will invite visitors to explore their digital world with a simple click, participating in the 360 ° virtual tour of the showroom and through the on-demand videos of the product managers on the news for the summer of 2021. Workbooks and lookbooks will be available for the download, to learn more about the product specifications.
Immediately after opening, the brand and product experts will be available for individual questions within the chatrooms. 20 representatives of the Oberalp brands will be available continuously for the next 48 hours for virtual conversations, giving partners the opportunity to ask their questions without time zone limitations.
In the opening of the Virtual Convention, the Oberalp Group will ask itself what the future foundations of mountain sports could be, starting from the results of the most recent market analyzes. The Group's brand managers will present their vision on the immediate future of mountain sports after the Covid-19 epidemic and with information, opinions and proposals for concrete measures will illustrate on which pillars the sector will rest in the future.
DYNAFIT will present, among other news, a new initiative to support retailer sales in the face of the current situation. With the "Run for your local dealer" project, the brand supports its most important customers, ie specialized dealers.
In the summer of 2021 SALEWA will focus on the Alpine Hemp collection in hemp, a long-term commitment to a local circular economy, with the aim of reducing waste by using natural resources to make sustainable products. In this regard, the company will announce that 10% of the turnover from the hemp clothing collection will be invested to support the local cultivation of this natural fiber and production within the Alpine region.

With this step we intend to demonstrate continuity and commitment despite the turbulent times and make our new 2021 summer collection transparent to end consumers. In these complex times for the economy, we want to give our partners around the world the opportunity to look to the future, plan ahead and prepare for next year, despite the current limitations. The Oberalp Virtual Convention is one of the many measures that we have been able to implement in a short time. Furthermore, for SALEWA and DYNAFIT we have decided to keep about 80% of the articles of the current summer collection also for the next year, offering a high percentage of carry-over products for the summer of 2021. In this way, we safeguard the investment made by retailers in the 2020 summer collections of both brands".
