Highlander Ski Up: report of the race
The first edition of Highlander Ski Up took place in Monte Purito, a new formula and a new challenge for ski mountaineers
05 January 2017On January 4, Monte Purito took place at the No. 0 Highlander Ski Up, the elimination pony race, which saw the athletes stand on a 190m long track with a positive difference of 60m for each run.
What did the winners have to face?
The competition is structured according to a first phase of qualifying in time, where the 2 best times will be considered net of 3 rounds, and a final phase eliminated direct structured on 6 consecutive runs.
The Highlander Man of this edition is Michele Boscacci with a time of 00':55" in the final run. "A nervous format, which is not one of my favorites, but of which I enjoyed the training and spectacular formula for a race Really innovative" is the opinion of the winner, followed by Nicolò Canclini (01': 06") and by Daniel Antonioli (01': 06").
Bianca Balzarini, with a time of 01': 21" says Highlander woman, followed by Corinna Ghirardi (01':29") and Paola Pezzoli (01':49").
As for the best runs, the BEST LAP Awards were awarded to Elisa Boffelli with incredible time of 01':32" and Roberto Gianola with a time of 00':58"
