Record on the Appalachian Trail

Karl Meltzer in less than 46 days

19 September 2016

For American backpackers, but more generally for trekkers from around the world, the Appalachian Trail, which runs along the east coast of the United States in 3510 km, is one of the most coveted locations. For this is also one of the three routes of the Triple Crown of Hiking, together with the Continental Divide Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail.

Is normal that that some strong runners have tried his distance with speed.

Scott Jurek records of 2015, with 46 days time, 8 hours and 7 minutes, has just been improved by Karl Meltzer in 45 days 22 hours 38 minutes, at his third attempt.
