{"id":104046,"date":"2021-02-24T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-02-24T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.up-climbing.com\/boulder\/materiali\/scarpa-chimera-fall-winter-2122\/"},"modified":"2021-02-24T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2021-02-24T00:00:00","slug":"scarpa-chimera-fall-winter-2122","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.up-climbing.com\/en\/boulder\/news-boulder\/scarpa-chimera-fall-winter-2122\/","title":{"rendered":"SCARPA: CHIMERA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The <strong>Asolo<\/strong>-based company presented the new <strong>Fall-Winter 2021-22<\/strong> collections, with the usual two seasons early despite the impediments caused by the pandemic, among the various models we also witnessed the revisitation of the <strong>CHIMERA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scarpa.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scarpa<\/a><\/strong>&#8216;s supersoft proposal is renewed, with <strong>high-performance materials<\/strong> and a structure designed to offer <strong>maximum<\/strong> <strong>sensitivity<\/strong>, avoiding too much stress on tendons and feet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Given its characteristics, CHIMERA looks like a shoe designed to give the best on the <strong>crag<\/strong>, even if both in the <strong>gym<\/strong> and on the <strong>blocks<\/strong> it maintains a very high level of performance. Being very strong in form obviously its use on long routes is not really recommended. <strong>Asymmetrical<\/strong> and <strong>arched<\/strong> <strong>shape<\/strong> therefore, with very arched position of the big toe and middle finger, to give excellent precision.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Scarpa presents the new CHIMERA as <strong>the most precise version of the soft line<\/strong>, created using innovative materials and technologies. The <strong>TPS<\/strong> <strong>insert<\/strong> under the toe area gives extra support and precision on small supports, however without taking away sensitivity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Let&#8217;s now go into the details of the features.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>UPPER<\/strong>: 8 combined pieces in 1.6mm highly technical microfiber and coupled to a perforated and breathable TPU layer, with high abrasion resistance. It also features an alcantara insert in the big toe area. The lacing extended to the tip to adapt the upper to any type of foot. The two lace hooks integrated into the upper improve the wrapping.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>TECHNOLOGIES<\/strong>: the SRT system wraps the entire forefoot in M50 rubber giving a fit that is maintained over time. The TPS midsole gives support on small supports without removing sensitivity, and the PCB system keeps the arch tension stable.
