After Prinzip Hoffnung, the young Fabian Buhl goes on whit high level routes and multipitches and repeted the mythical Silbergeier (200, 8b+ max, 7c obb) in Ratikon opened by Beat Kammerlander in 1994.
\n\u201cThis year I wanted to improve not only in bouldering, after my ascent of Prinzip Hoffnung at B\u00fcrs\u201d reports Fabi on his site, \u201cI started to think about mutlipitches, talking to Beat increased this will. But after using the good conditions in spring for sportclimbing an bouldering, the weather got really bad and we got the most precipitation during summer in the last 20 years or so. So I always wanted to go to R\u00e4tikon or any other dry wall, but the days where rare. Once I got lucky and partnered with Manu Brunn, we drove up to R\u00e4tikon to check out the beta for Silbergeier. I have heard a lot about the beauty of this route and the fantastic alpine limestone. After a long day of working the moves of every pitch, we were blown away by the quality of this climb. We expected it to be good, but it\u00b4s incredible and Beat was yet another time way ahead of the time with his free ascent!\u201d (read the full story).
