Great moment for Yosemite and its climbers! Jacopo Larcher and Barbara Zangerl returned under the walls of El Capitan again and did the probably third ascent of Zodiac, a route opened by Charlie Porter in 1972 and then climbed free by German Alex and Thomas Huber in 2003 with difficult till 8b.<\/p>\n

Interesting ascent also for French Sebastine Berthe that did the second free ascent of Free Heart Route, again on El Cap, opened in 1970 by Chuck Kroger and Scott David that in 2015 was freed by Mason Earle and Crad Gobright. 8a the hardest pitch of this route.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
