Marcel Remy (& sons) Video - Up-Climbing

Marcel Remy (& sons) Video

This’s the video (made by Swiss TV) of Marcel Remy’s (86) ascent of “Le miroir d’Argentine” together with his sons Claude and Yves, the famous swiss climbers that on this magnificent slab first climbed many major routes.
“The first time that I have climbed here “ Marcel says “ I had an hemp rope tied at my waist. We climbed for 30, even 40 meters without protections”.
A steep one-hour approach, 15 pitches, 5a+, sometimes 10-15m above the in-situ protection, an alpine ambiance, make a great performance for Marcel, born on 1923, who has two artificial hips and went recently into surgery!
6 years ago, at the age of 80,  he leaded at The Miroir  Normal Route, la Direct (15 pitches 5a) and Remix (13 pitches 5c+).
