01 Jul video Antarctica by Huber brothers

 
Some months ago we gave the new of the expedition of Brothers Huber and Stephan Siegrist in Antartica.
They spent 6 weeks on november/december 2008 in Queen Maud Land, Antartic, climbing 3 new routes, 2 on the peak of Holtanna and one on Ulvetanna 
Their aim was of establishing some new routes and climbing them free, but  the incredible cold, up to -50°C, average of – 30,  put an end the hope of climbing a route free.They climbed "Eiszeit", a new route up the West Face of Holtanna 24 pitches 5.11- A4, and a week later a via trought the north pillar Skywalk (VII-, 450m).
Then they climbed Sound of Silence 5.850 meters on the the NW Buttress of Ulvetanna (2931meters)

During the same time period a French military expedition comprised  managed the first ascent of the North Buttress of Holstind,  "Choundens Renard" 650m, A2/A3. The movie of the french expeditions will be showed on july 16 in Chamonix.
